NXT® LENSES FEATURED IN NEW JULBO GOGGLES COLLECTION
Intercast Europe, the Parma-based exclusive manufacturer of the patented high performance NXT® lenses, and Julbo, a sunglasses brand and specialist in solar protection for extreme environments, continue to strengthen their successful partnership and collaboration in terms of product development.
The new winter 2012 goggles collection by Julbo, indeed, offers a wide choice of lenses that provide the very best in performance thanks to the use of NXT® Varia™ platform, currently widely recognized as the very best photochromic technology in the market for solar filtration. As Julbo affirms, indeed, ‘the difference is in the lens’. NXT® lenses provide extreme impact, temperature and chemical resistance, together with superior optical performance compared to the existing technologies. That is why they have been chosen as the perfect solution for Julbo goggles, always aiming at protecting snow lovers with high quality products and visual comfort.
Light–sensitive treatment throughout the whole body of the lens, and not just on the surface, provides unrivalled viewing comfort in all situations. Moreover, depending on the intended purpose, customers can select from four different types of NXT® lenses: the benchmark Zebra, a photochromic gold lens with excellent light receptivity and protection that has become an essential piece of kit for all terrain-riders, is now complemented by Zebra Light, Camaleon and Falcon lenses.
Thanks to its yellow colour, photochromic Zebra Light offers an increased light receptivity that makes it the ideal companion for backcountry riders even in bad weather conditions. Camaleon is a photochromic and polarizing brown lens perfect for freeriders, as it protects the user from aggressive high altitude sun and adapts to reduced visibility when required.
Finally, Falcon is the ideal solution for all-mountain skiers: thanks to its photochromic dyes, this lens provides the user with the best possible vision throughout the day; also, the polarizing filter combined with copper colouring ensures exceptional comfort.
As specialist in the production of technical eyewear, Julbo has built its reputation on the quality of its lenses by introducing photochromic technology to the winter sports sector. Julbo’s mission is to meet the individual needs of its customers through a wide range of technical lenses able to adapt to different light levels, terrains, weather conditions and sports. NXT® lenses perfectly match Julbo’s philosophy offering the most advanced technological solution for winter sports enthusiasts as well as the most demanding athletes.
Optical quality and vision wellness, together with lightweight and strength, are the features of excellence that add up to uncompromising comfort and protection and prove that NXT® lenses enhance the visual experience and the eye-performance of the wearer by controlling
contrast, color and definition. At the core of every NXT® lens is Trivex® material, a next-generation polymer derived from chemistry originally developed for the US military which is the perfect balance of visual and physical performance, delivering incredible durability and protection along with astonishing optical clarity.
